Visit to Rwanda

From 29 June to 3 July 2015 Professors Gregor van der Beek, Oliver Serfling and Jakob Lempp had a intensive visit program in the Republic of Rwanda. They discussed with several high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Finance, Trade and Labour, with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the chief economist of the Rwandan National Bank as well as representatives of several public and private Rwandan universities, including the University of Rwanda in Kigali and the first University of Applied Sciences in the country, the INES Ruhengeri Institute of Applied Sciences in Musanze. The main focus was on the development and expansion of the partner network for the Master's program "Sustainable Development Management" beginning in September and the expansion of internships and study opportunities for BA courses of the Faculty as well as the exploration of research and consulting opportunities in cooperation with the German national development cooperation organization GIZ.
